A delicious cake that agrees with most palates, requires no baking and can be made the night before!
Apple Crisp
This is a great 1st recipe for kids to learn how to bake.
Baclava
Incredibly easy and outstandingly delicious recipe. However, buttering each layer takes a while, I suggest setting yourself up in front of a TV while you prepare it.
Banana Bread
It often doesn't last until it cools down so I suggest making 2 loaves.
Banana Chocolate Muffins
For those who like moist and dense muffins.
Banana Muffins
I suggest doubling or tripling the recipe, otherwise they disappear too quickly!
Beef Lasagna
This is the best lasagna recipe I've ever tasted. Even babies gobble it up. It makes 2 lasagnas (1 large 1 small), one to eat and one to freeze for later!
Bi-racial Cupcakes
These are moist cupcakes that are quite addictive! The cream cheese filling makes them very rich but also stops them from being overly sweet so you don't feel guilty about having a couple...or a few.
Big League Chocolate Chip Cookies
Hands down the best homemade chocolate chip cookies I've ever tasted! They rival Mrs. Fields cookies.
Blondies

Cinnamon Rolls
I use the sweet bun dough recipe from the Crave Cooking School with a generic cinnamon topping to make the delicious scrolls. I elected to forgo the cream cheese icing in favor of a less decadent treat so I feel slightly less guilty having two...or more!
Dal
Authentic enough for true Asians and not so spicy that the Brit's can't enjoy it. Requires a pressure cooker.
Deviled Eggs
I suggest doubling or tripling the recipe as these bite-sized appetizers go fast.
Florentines
The first time I tried this recipe I found it a bit finicky but my learning curve was steep so my second attempt took only a fraction of the time. I've found that younger people like these biscuits but older people LOVE them and they can be kept 'like new' in the freezer until you have company (they thaw in minutes).
Flour-free Cocoa Biscuits
Great gluten-free option. Moist and stays fresh/chewy for ages.
Green Bean Salad
A warm bean and onion salad. Simple to prepare but attend to timing as it tastes best when warm.

Honey-Soy Marinated Salmon
Even people who don't like fish at all will still eat this meal, that's how outstanding it is.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes
I had these pancakes for breakfast at the Hotel Ivy in Minneapolis, MN. They are by far the best pancakes I've ever tasted. The chef very generously coughed up the recipe for me. I've made them for the family and the kids had double what they normally eat. They're easily and absolutely worth the extra prep time.
